THANKS MARGE AND JAN!

ALPINE’S ANNUAL MOUNTAIN DAYS was started in 1990 by Jan Rollins and Marge Grover, the founders and co-chairs (for 17 years!) of this weekend festival. From the very first "Mountain Days" these two ladies had a vision which has become reality: With the help of volunteers, the generosity of many businesses and individuals, and the participation of craftsmen, vendors, and those who attend, this event has grown year by year into one of the largest weekend festivals in the area.

ALPINE'S ANNUAL MOUNTAIN DAYS attracts tourists from all over. It is widely publicized in all phases of the news media, including the Wyoming Tourism Council, through distribution of flyers, and it was featured nationally on the FOOD NETWORK'S "AMERICAN FESTIVALS" SERIES.

Fine Arts and Crafts as well as Food and Commercial Booths occupied the grounds of the Alpen Haus Resort at the junction of Highways 89 and 26 for many years. The Craft Booths and Commercial areas adjoined the popular 1800’s authentic Pioneer Village as well as the main stage areas and the big tent, where several activities took place.

In 2012, the Town of Alpine will once again sponsor Mountain Days and host the event within the town limits. As in the early days of the event, Mountain Days will be centered around the Alpine Civic Center. Our thanks to Clarence and Dottie Reinhart, Gaye Edwards, and Tanya DeJournett for all their help and support over the last 15 years and for providing a very special site for Mountain Days to take place.

Countless volunteers have worked tirelessly for the last several years to continue Marge and Jan's dreams and expectations for Mountain Days. With so many details to handle before and during the event, volunteers are always welcome and greatly appreciated. If you would like to contribute your talents and time to one of the many cogs in the wheel that keep this festival spinning, please contact us! Help is always needed during the set-up before the event and the clean-up during and afterward, with collecting raffle prizes, with manning the information booth, and with developing and implementing IDEAS, just to name a few of the tasks involved. Email Alpine Mountain Days or call Pam at the Alpine Town Offices at 307-654-7757 if you would like to help.

We hope you'll join us for a weekend of admiring and purchasing beautiful and unique handmade crafts and fine art, browsing commercial booths, exploring the Pioneer Village, eating, enjoying the talents of local musicians, watching and participating in Native American dances, and just relaxing and enjoying the scenery! New events and activities are in the works--check back for details!

If you'd like to help or would like more information about this event, please call Pam at the Alpine Town Hall at 307-654-7757 or Kathy at 307-654-7710 or email us at Alpine Mountain Days.
